Never been on a cruise, are they scary?
I’m going on a cruise next week, and I want to know if they are scary. I have bad anxiety, will this be affected? I need to know everything anyone can tell me about them!

By the way, it’s Norwegian Gem, and we are traveling to St. Thomas, Tortolla, Barbados, Antiqua, and St Maarten, so if you know anything about those places that would help too!

Scary? No way! Cruises are terrific fun. You will have the best time of your life. If you are worried about seasickness, visit your doctor before you go for a patch. They work great.

Cruises are fun, until you hit a bad storm at sea. I went to the Bahamas and we encountered a bad storm. We went in early spring time. It was scary because the lightning was hitting the water and we were not allowed outside on the decks. Practically, everyone got seasick because of the rocking of the ship. Check the weather reports before you go. This was springtime. So you should be ok with it being winter. Go and have fun!! It will be a great.

Wow, are you lucky or what? Crusing is totally fun- lots to do & great food, anywhere anytime. You can get a massage if you’re feeling anxious, but there’s nothing to be worried about. Norwegian is a reputable company. If you get seasick, you can use those patches you place behind your ear, but usually the ships’s stabilizers work really well to keep the ship from rocking. Cruising is like being on a really fancy floating hotel, nightclub, theater, etc. Have a ball. Wish I could go again.

If you have picked the right cruise you’ll have a blast.
Different cruise lines cater to different types of people.
If you have a problem with sea sickness go to the drug store and buy wrist bands. they are elastic type bands with a little bump in the band. you place the bump where the directions tell you and you should be fine. My wife use to use them and always took spares, to give away(they’re cheap). But now she doesn’t need them at all. Make sure you read the news letter that’s slipped under your door every day, it tells of things that will happen the next day Have Fun
